And here’s another guestie moment I had recently; this time for Annette in Aberdeen, in the north of bonnie Scotland, no less 😀
So you’ve already guessed I’m not from Aberdeen then?
Like many folk, I grew tired of the inclement weather offered by life around 53 degrees north, and decided to head south for semi-retirement by some 16 degrees. My plan, perhaps a little naively, was to tame an overgrown patch of land in the foothills of the West Taurus Mountains of southwest Turkey.

Great post Spike. You wrote a very interesting post. Reminded me a bit of Arizona where we also enjoy 4 months of blazing hot summer but not nearly as wet in the winter. Being in the winter in Chile I kind of miss the heat and constant sunshine. It takes while to get used to a marine layer for days on end. Cheers, Wooly
