More bodies where I sat only recently

Less than a month after the last large scale suicide bombing in our capital, at least 37 residents of Ankara have tonight lost their lives. Half six on a spring Sunday evening, and yet more carnage – this time in downtown Kızıklay where all the bus stops are, the Metro entrances and a park in one of the most crowded civilian shopping and restaurant areas.
I love that part of Ankara. I was there a few weeks ago. Every blast site is some place I have walked, sat or driven through. What an abhorrent act of merciless slaughter.
Words fail me.

I can imagine the surreal feeling that you are having. It’s just so sad and makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

I clicked on like, because you ended your post with “bloggers unite for peace”. But, as you say, “words fail me”. Every time I hear of yet another atrocity in your country, I’m so frightened for you and your family. I would suggest you stayed away from busy towns and cities, but then it means the b*******s have won. Even in the UK, I get frightened about the possibility of a terrorist attack in urban places or on public transport, as we’re on high alert here. The world has gone crazy. …Stay safe.

Let me offer some lines from Robert Burns. The phrase “man’s inhumanity to man” always rolls through my brain and heart when I hear of autrocities like this one. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

One of kiddo’s classmates mom missed it by 10 mins, and the double bomb in October, one of our friends missed that by 30. You just never know when it’s your time I guess 😦

I haven’t had the news on today, so this is the first I heard of it. That is so very sad! I don’t understand people sometimes. I really don’t.

Top news here in Australia this morning. The Australian Ambassador to Turkey, James Larson, was just metres away from where the attack took place. He was unharmed.
Shocking events by these rat-bag terrorists who are so brain washed with hatred, I think they
have become “robots of death”.
It is a frightening world – I wonder what Ataturk would think of all this??
