Not In MY Name

Saturday 14 November, 2015 by Uncle Spike

Last month we saw multiple bombings in Turkey, then destruction over Egypt, countless other atrocities both here and happening daily in our neighbours, and now very sadly in France.

As a human and also as a Muslim, I’m appalled by these abhorrent, despicable acts of cowardice on unarmed innocents. And as for these scum saying it’s all in the name of Islam, what evil little cretins.

You do not act for me, nor the other 1.6 billion of us.

I have friends from all religious backgrounds and the debate going on in America right now about Syrian refugees is disheartening. Terrorists win when they divide us and make us hate one another.

Not in your name, not in mine, not in the name of any God. No blood is ever justifiably spilled by the hand of a man nor woman.

I believe it is now at the stage of “uncontrollable”. I applaud you for your words.
I am glad that as an act of defiance the G20 is going ahead in Istanbul.
I should imagine Istanbul is on an alert unheard of?
We should all just say as people of the free – ” JE SUIS FRANCAIS”.

  8. It breaks my heart to see what is happening. And I’m pretty darn sure it breaks His heart, too. Blessings, Spike.

  10. War and atrocities, talks and peace deals, out pouring’s of sympathy, expressions of outrage. Politicians make grand statements, the media cover the subject and we drown in there words and images …until the next comes along and the current disaster is forgotten. Nothing ever seems to change and the innocent continue to suffer…… .
