This is the magnificent Pontifical Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary of Pompei. This Roman Catholic cathedral is a central feature in the main square of downtown modern day Pompei, Italy.     We visited Pompeii, but we did not see the cathedral – only ruins.

    I’ve been to the ruins in Pompeii several times, but never went into the city itself. So, thanks for showing us this splendid cathedral. There’s no doubt a lot more to be seen in Pompeii.
