Weekly Photo Challenge: Admiration (IV)

Thursday 05 May, 2016 by Uncle Spike

My fourth and final Weekly Photo Challenge entry is about my admiration for mother nature. In these shots, we see the marvel of house building that birds undertake all the time, but so often we take for granted.

Hope you enjoy this entry.

  1. Wow, that last picture looks like bird-nest city! Very impressive. What sort of bird is that yellow one in the first picture? It looks like a budgie parakeet, but I can’t quite work out what size it is from the photo — whether it’s the equivalent size of a blue tit or a dove.

What amazing birds you have there. I thought I saw an escaped parakeet yesterday here! It flew away before I could get a photo. FREE! FREE! AT LAST! He said…and was gone!

Yes, how do they do it? And, how do they know where to build them?
