Weekly Photo Challenge: Alphabet (III)
6Monday 18 January, 2016 by Uncle Spike
This week’s third entry from me for the Weekly Photo Challenge concerns three distinct letters of the Greek alphabet, O, X, I, Spelling out OXI, or “NO” to the EU bailout referendum vote of summer 2015. This photograph was captured from behind a protest banner in the northern Greek coastal city of Thessaloniki.
Hope you enjoy this entry.

The Greeks even have an “OXI” day in October from when they said no to Mussolini…

Not much has changed really… just two sides of Europe; one obsessed with money, one with enjoying life 🙂

Best of wishes to you and your nation. International banking has totally messed up the world, including the U.S. I’m afraid we’re not far behind.
I know you’ll visit, but I always ask anyway . . . for others. 🙂 LOL If you like, you’re welcome to come visit my challenge at:

Actually they are right… after all the problems they had with EU last year.
I really can’t blame them, such lovely people full with joy of life and a great culture! :-)claudine
