Maya’s back….

Young Maya, the cheeky little eight year old pianist I met from Türkiye is progressing pretty well, tinkling the ivories with more finesses and grace in a short piece than I could ever hope to muster in a lifetime.

I love the look here – dreaming of that big stage in years to come perhaps.

So how about this then…. Here’s 44 seconds of pure musical delight as she plays Opus 599 No.69 by Carl Czerny to add some culture to our New Year’s Sunday.

I remember that thick book with Czerny-Krentzlin etudes! But I didn’t become a pianist me either! Though I wasn’t too bad! I lacked some musical eagerness I guess.
Maya is fantastic! Hope she has the eagerness as well as the talent.
