Some well said home truths from Norm, a fellow blogger who deserves a couple of minutes of our time to read, and to digest what he sadly feels just needs to be said.

Note: I know this post is a little out of character for me. I don’t rant or use foul language often and I generally try to avoid political topics. So no worries; I won’t be insulted if you decide to bounce right now and go read someone else. I promise to be back to posting pretty pictures tomorrow.
The ridiculous amount of verbal diarrhea I’ve heard and read in the last week or so about the Syrian refugee crisis, in the both the mainstream media and on social media has left me pissed. I’m livid and I need to let it out.
Have we really all forgotten here in Canada and the U.S. that we are an entire continent of immigrants?
Remember, unless you have native aboriginal blood coursing through your veins, you (or your ancestors) came from somewhere else.

My husband is second generation born on our soil, his grandfather was from England. As for myself I’m a long, long, time mix of people here. Still I agree with you and feel it was all well said.

Uncle Spike, I normally don’t get involved with politics but on this issue, we as human beings all need to stop and really think that these people were just like our own ancestors. So much hatred and prejudice and fear happening …

Having seen and met some of our 2.5 million refugees here, most of whom live on the streets as all the camps are full, it infuriates and saddens me how people just ‘don’t get it’.
