Who would join me?

Thursday 19 November, 2015 by Uncle Spike

A couple of times recently I have posted my thoughts about the ongoing wave of destructiıon that the idiots waving their black flags and Kalashnikov’s seem intent to wreak on the rest of humanity.

These scum say they are Muslim. How dare they.

Like many Muslims, I am appalled at their wanton destruction of lives, land, and property. But please understand this. This is not an attack on ‘the west’, but an attack on humanity. They have slaughtered many thousands more Muslims than any other group based on religion or nationality. Basically, it seems, anyone who doesn’t buy into their doctrine is their enemy, hence they kill, maim, and defile all who dare to live outside their ranks.

Like many of you, I’m sure, when we read between the lines that the sensationalistic mainstream media put out, we start to see how much of a minority they really are. And no, the 1.6 billion of us out there who follow Islam are not just waiting around every corner to bite your heads off; just as the KKK or IRA represent their whole faith either. As I said, they have killed thousands and thousands of Muslims, and continue to do so. So please, think deeply before joining those who believe that maybe I’m “Spike the Jihadi”, just because of who I am, what I believe as a person, or what part of the world I live in.

This post is titled “Who would join me?”.

Would you join me in putting out a statement, as bloggers united together; united as members of humanity, even if we hail from different parts of the planet, practise different religions, or none, or happen to carry different passports?

My plan is to draft a simple short statement (to be agreed up front of course, via email before publication), listing those bloggers who agree to be a part of this, and then post it this weekend. Nothing more dramatic than that, but I feel that if we can show that at least some of us can stand together, then that’s one tiny, yet significant victory against this evil being perpetrated against us all.

My Dear Spike, Fully Agree with You that Terrorists, of All groups, are doing the Wanton Killings.

But was not aware that ‘Muslims’ were being killed ‘Just because they were Muslims.’ What is Your basis for saying this?

      Hey Yesudas,

ISIS slaugfhter anyone who doesn’t agree with them, and within that geographical arena, the vast majority of its victims are Muslim (even in Turkey, we have had 3 major bombing events here this year alone).

Oh, you mean the ISIS, muslims themselves, are slaughtering muslim?

But I caught You, Spike. Mine had been a leading, and loaded question. If, according to You, (bad?) muslims are killing Muslims, then these same (bad?) muslims cannot use that as an excuse to kill thousands of others, especially Non-Muslims.

Exactly. These are not muslims, just terrorists. What faith they pretend to hide behind is irrelevant. Who they kill, in terms of muslim, christian, buddhist, jewish really doesn’t matter; they are killing human beings.

No problem with that; it’s just the innocent families that always end up as collateral damage that saddens me.

From your post one would have gathered that the West had killed Muslims, and that the ISIS types had some basis and reason for carrying out their atrocities. NOW you say that the ISIS and types are the ones who kill Muslims.

                  My dear Yesudas…

It’s not about anyone’s religion. When you are shot or blown up, your religion or the supposed faith of the perpetrator is mute. Think of it this way; in this region of the world, out of every 1,000 deaths, you can be pretty sure 950+ are Muslim. Who killed them doesn’t matter. The west bombs Syria, Iraq etc… yes, Muslims will be killed (and the west don’t attack because of the faith of who dies). Similarly, as ISIS take towns, villages and cities, they kill, simple as that; but again, 95% are always gonna be Muslims from the demographics of our region.

My Dear Spike, I understand very well that it is not about religions, though religions and their leaders, of all groups, DO play their roles in the misery of the world.

But the point still remains, if groups like the ISIS did not carry on and continue their atrocities, would the West still be bombing them? The ISIS types ARE making them targets, after all!

And in this age of smart bombs, do not believe that so many are getting killed by those bombs.

                    Regards.

It is as if the ISIS wants them killed, for whatever perverted reasons they have.

It is like placing your armoury in civilian areas, and blaming the bombs and the bombers.

  2. Add my name to the list Spike! For over 2000 years some dreadful things have been done in the name of religion. Let’s not forget that Christianity has add its fanatics as well – Crusaders, Spanish Inquisition, Jesuits… Society, communities, religion need to stand firm against terrorism and intolerance.

I love this idea, I think all the civilized people of the world would like to live in peace. I think it would be a fine movement for our upstanding Muslim citizens to stand up now and decry what is being done in the name of Islam. Thank you for the fine article.
