Love Over Fear
25Wednesday 18 November, 2015 by Uncle Spike
The level of response generated by my previous post, Perspective & Humanity, was reassuring, pretty much supportive and mostly from my usual clan of faithful blogging correspondents. My follower numbers did drop a bit (15 or so I think), which was as to be expected, but let’s just say that I’m getting to the point where I know what matters to me.
Anyway, suffice it to say, I think you know where I’m coming from regarding these recent, or shall we say ongoing, atrocities at the hands of these numbnuts with the black flag and their mandatory brain cell count of <12. In actuality, they are probably not that thick at all; in fact they seem highly organised, so therefore I guess just plain evil, rather than stupidly misguided then.

One of my mutual followers, Suzanne, is a French Canadian who also lived in Paris, and so her commentary was of particular interest to me, and I was really really touched today when I received a link to this following short video. Please take a moment to watch it. This summarizes exactly what we need more of.

Unfortunately, I’m sure only those who are already in agreement will be concur its sentiment as usual, and the rest who are pretty much closed to any form of reconciliatory banter will continue to blindly oppose this way of thinking.
BUT, we have to try, don’t we?
Maybe we should produce a joint post, or some kind of statement as a group? Anyone interested, just drop me a line at uncle.spikes.adventures1@gmail.com
Wishing peace and security to all of you, wherever you are, whoever you are.

I think Uncle Spike has said this the best of anything I’ve read. Thanks Uncle Spike! May you and yours remain safe!

I lost it when the kid hugged the guys. Clearly, the parent is raising a member of our next generation of sweet free-thinkers.

That’s our responsibility as parents. Recently I grabbed a huge sack full of biscuits and took my son to give them to refugee children; it’s part of educating one’s child I believe.

I have to go back to read your last post, but from reading this one, I’m sure we are on the same wave-length. The last few days of FB have had me very sad and depressed. I saw this video yesterday and it picked me up with a little hope. Good for you for speaking out!

I have seen the video several times Spike and it gives me hope. Surely fear mongering can only lead to more hate.

Thank you so much for sharing this Uncle Spike! After reading through my Facebook news feed last night I was very discouraged by the FB war going on among friends over all that has happened throughout the world. People turning their backs on those that need it most (out of fear is their excuse). This video and post is needed right now. Thanks again for putting a smile on my face.

I shared the post on my own FB too…. not a lot of reaction there; guess you start to see who’s in which camp, so to speak.

Same here. No responses or likes. Either FB is limiting who can see my post or people simply don’t care. In that case I feel sad for humanity. This is reason I am choosing to stay away from FB & the war among friends & the total lack of compassion for those that need it most.

Well said, Thursday you will be my post. By the way…you only lost 15, that isn’t many. The rest of us understand and agree with you.

Thanks for this post and for highlighting the video. I does deserve some wide exposure. I agree with you that some people have their mind set and won’t allow any arguments to change it but you are right that we have to keep trying. (Suzanne)
