Caribbean Blue

Friday 04 September, 2015 by Uncle Spike

I first got into Clannad, the five piece family Celtic band back in the early 80’s and have always held a soft spot for both Clannad, and of course Enya, one of the sisters, who went solo and has since earned international fame and recognition, with album sales topping 75 million.

It’s an interesting genre of music that is loved far and wide by so many people from different walks of life – anyone not heard of them? Suffice it to say, no look at those Tunes I Love would be complete for me without an Enya track or two….

  2. I remember the day and where I was and who it was who introduced me to Enya and this song. That says something, huh? (Giving a shoutout to Chris G. RN, in State College, PA!) Hope that wasn’t an abuse of your comments section, our Uncle S.)

I too know about Enya and love both her singing and the genre. But many years earlier I found Era. The same genre. Compelling music.

  5. I liked Clannad too, and then moved on to Enya. I have three of her CDs (I think) and this track is probably my favourite.
