This is a breakaway post by Uncle Spike to introduce a spot of culture or a moment of Sunday serenity. So today I’m introducing Maya, a young 8-year old girl here in Türkiye who, when first meeting her, seems to be a pretty normal ‘kid’ by all measures. But of course, as in many times in life, we can sometimes be (pleasantly) surprised… 

Maya loves pink… and she loves ice-cream

And fooling around in the garden

And… playing the piano 🙂
