Peaches are coming along nicely this season!

By the way…you showed us all those lovely painted trees, but I didn’t see a weed one. Keeping the weeds down in all you have must take a huge amount of time also!
Haha, yeah right…. I’d just spent 18 hours with a gas-powered brush cutter to clear the orchards before we started painting. However, if you look at the last couple of shots, the grass and weeds are soon coming back, particularly along the drip lines. I’ll do the whole lot again in late August when it’ll be knee-waist high 🙂

They don’t look too bad. You only have to cut twice? Me thinks you need some goats, or at least to rent out to goats over the winter.
Usually I cut 4 times. April, June, August, October, so not too bad. I could spray it, which is far cheaper than the fuel costs (worlds most expensive fuel), but not my thing.
Goats, no way… they scoff the trees big time, literally, and anyway, winter is the fruit season 🙂
OH of course! Goats love trees. My Dad always had sheep in the orchards until time to pick. The other orchards, where the sheep didn’t go, he had to brush hog monthly. Orchards are lots of work…as you well know
A big round blade, like a lawn mower, only attached for the tractor.
I had images of Terry combing a long-haired piggy. What good that would do with the weeds, I hadn’t the faintest.
Oh! Tee Hee Terry doesn’t brush hog, my Dad did in the orchards.

Yummy …I love peaches!
Not quite the right climate here, so ours tend to be smaller, like apples, and a bit harder than normal; nevertheless, they taste ok, and we often use them for jam or composto 🙂
