Weekly Photo Challenge: Off-Season (I)

Friday 12 June, 2015 by Uncle Spike

This week’s first entry from me for the Weekly Photo Challenge is the wastage of clementines caused by a very rare and sudden cold snap during the last fruit picking season here in Türkiye.

Hope you enjoy this entry.

Very striking pic but such a shame about the waste. Are they actually inedible, or just no longer attractive on the shelf? I’ve seen some campaigns encouraging people to eat imperfect produce so as to reduce waste.

  3. I hope at least some animals, insects, and birds enjoyed those clementines, so they didn’t go totally to waste.

Oh, the humanity…my clementine-devouring kids would cry to see this.

  5. Oh no! That’s such a shame, did you manage to salvage any for a fruit fix?!

...waiting to hear from you...
