Flower Friday ~ Red is the colour
9Friday 22 May, 2015 by Uncle Spike
Slowly but surely, the garden is becoming more brown by the day as summer approaches, and the ground hardens to the texture of industrial concrete, but at least the red bottle brush is performing as expected. Here are three of our bushes that are bringing this vibrant glow to the garden this year.

Love the bottle brush bush! I remember walking through a long archway made of them, alive with bees doing their thing. Enchanting.

Ok, so I couldn’t help what popped into my head: Bird is the Word. Are you old enough to remember that song?
How long to those blossoms last?

Err… nope.
They only last a week maybe, but flower on/off for months 🙂
