My favorite rose

Saturday 09 May, 2015 by Uncle Spike

We have many many rose plants now, situated in four large rose beds, as well as a few other places around our ‘house garden’ – so the non-farm areas. We don’t actually have a huge variety of roses I’ll admit, and 90% of them are cuttings I have taken over the past four years from some 18 original plants. However, even those were unnamed things from a local guy – no posh garden nurseries around here. Even still, from our small range here is my personal favourite…

The slight colour variation on the petal edges is quite interesting.

  2. Those ‘unnamed things from a local guy’ turned out pretty spectacular. Almost looks like a frilly Peace Rose. Quite nice!

Tiz rather unique…. no idea about the perfume/scent(smell (no idea what one should call it), as the farm has so many flowers, fruits and trees, so my old snifter has given up trying to separate the differences 😀
