Rural Anatolian life

Sunday 05 April, 2015 by Uncle Spike

On travels within my wife’s paternal homeland province of Konya, we came across many, what you might call ‘salt of the earth’ folk. These images are simple shots that tried to capture the beauty of rural Anatolian life. I hope you enjoy these.

Many of these shots to be from anywhere with Türkiye. In fact, they show a pretty generic picture of rural Turkish rural village life. Some of these could be taken in our own village!

I enjoy these photos of the rural villages and especially of the people. These photos gives those of us on the other side of the planet a “fly-on-the-wall” perspective of life in Türkiye that shows how simple life is there, how kind the people must be and how we humans are all so similar. Thank you.

The only thing remotely near this would be some of the Aboriginal Communities in the far north of the State – and you need a permit to enter these lands.
