Flower Friday – Colour in the Gloom
9Friday 23 January, 2015 by Uncle Spike
This is my flower for this week. It was a dark winter’s day, but this lonesome bloom was determined to brighten it up.
.
This is the plant in question. As it nears the end of the season, the flower stems can get very long, hence I spent a while sat it the mud trying to capture that first shot against the sky 🙂

Is it some gaura? Looks like it. Lovely in any case.

Asking the wrong guy again – I never have a clue. Here’s a previous post showing the plant…. yesterday’s photo was just at the end of the season when the flower stems are very long indeed.

I think it is, based on your previous post. I love this plant too and they do well in dry and hot climates. Enjoy!

Aww, thanks for that. I was sat in the mud taking taking that, thinking what a daft old git – but yeah, I liked the result too 🙂
