Flower Friday – From Naxos

4

Friday 05 December, 2014 by Uncle Spike

Still meandering our way through the Greek islands, and loving all the colourful Bougainvillea everywhere… when I suddenly spotted something of a different colour 🙂
This was taken on the sparsely populated and quiet side of the large island of Naxos, over at Moutsouna, just a few feet from the sea.

I rely on plumbago to keep colour in the garden through out the year. It’s very forgiving, needing less water than most plants and looks lovely tumbling over walls.

I used to grow the lovely blue Plumbago when I lived in South Africa.
