Sweet Home… of Alabama

Saturday 29 November, 2014 by Uncle Spike

I went to Montgomery, Alabama once, but that’s as near to being able to label it as ‘home’. But what I’m referring to of course is the absolute classic from Lynyrd Skynyrd, “Sweet Home Alabama” !
A long time favourite of mine has since been reborn, so to speak. Young Cousin Spike Jnr requests it to listen to in the car after school – and sings his little heart out.
This clip is from the 4th July concert at Oakland Coliseum Stadium, California, on 2nd July 1977, some three months before the fateful air crash of 20th October.
I hope you enjoy this one as much as I have 🙂

  1. Montgomery is actually one of the highlights of Alabama, too. 😀
