Weekly Photo Challenge: Achievement (I)
13Friday 14 November, 2014 by Uncle Spike
This week’s first entry from me for the Weekly Photo Challenge is from 1987, and the time that a good friend of mine and I climbed a mountain on the Greek island of Folegandros. We had no equipment, apart from sturdy boots and a sense of adventure. This was before GPS was invented, or mobile phones and other such safety paraphernalia one would consider standard these days 🙂
This is the full story if you are interested to read all about it…
Hope you enjoy this entry.

Great story. Took me back to days of carefree hitch hiking not knowing where you would end up that night. I did the Greek islands too, too in the late 70s. I think you were right not to go back to that one special island – it is impossible to recapture that time even if nothing had changed apart from yourself.
