Apricot Tree Gummosis

The latest ‘Guess What‘ challenge had this colourful image…

Did you get it, or even close?

Well we know that Lesia from the blog Pictures did, having correctly deduced what the chuff I had actually photographed this week. I’m now keeping an eye on my inbox to see what my creative writing challenge will be, as I stupidly boldly stated that the winner can pick ANY subject for me, bar politics or religion, and I’ll write them a 500 word post within 24 hours.

The answer was resin found on one of our Apricot trees. A number of fruit trees are prone to gummosis, but this large old apricot tree is quite prolific. See for yourself.

That was another brilliant one. I am clearly not on form at the moment as I didn’t even get close. Maybe next week.

Well Spike I am never gonna guess anything, but if you like you can write 500 on the life and loves of Duke my nephew……, when ever you are ready ( I think I am getting better on links and things so it should be painless!)
