      Oh boy, did we?!

We found them in a shop (Mothercare) when visiting Ankara. The look of sheer horror, and even comments today (after seeing our fotos) from fellow Turks on ‘how can you tie up your child like a dog’ still amaze me. lol. Better to have some ‘freedom’ to explore, but safely, than hand-holding until they are 4 years old we think.

I found them invaluable, especially with son no 2 who would have jumped off anything into anything. He still does but has made it now to the grand old age of 31!
They still use reins a lot in the UK but they are disguised as very cute backpacks for the child to wear. Trouble is they are now very expensive too.
