Our Planet, Our Time, Our Shame

We only have one planet upon which we may dwell (as far as I know). So why do we seem intent on its’ destruction out of our inherent greed, laziness and self-centeredness?

Our Time
Our Shame

Gosh I won’t tut at my Mum when she randomly tells people off in the street for littering! Are we doing better now in the UK I wonder with all the plastic recycling we do, my brothers job for the past few years has been crushing plastic bottles for the bottle bank box.

Very moving video. We all really need to sit up, take notice of and change our behaviour of needless consumption.

My heart breaks when I read things like this, or see things like this…I want to take all and hold them in my arms and make the pain go away…and bring them back …bring them back…I am weeping!

This video should make people think twice before the mindless consumption and lack of concern towards the nature…
We are all part of it, and need to take up the responsibility and act, right?
Thanks a lot for sharing this video, Uncle spike 🙂

I can’t find words for this. These kind of things, and many more that show the carelessness, make me so sad, so angry. It really hurts in me.

We have an acronym in British English called “Nimby” which aptly describes most peoples attitudes to this sort of stuff. Nimby stands for Not In My Back Yard…. so as long as they don’t see it, they don’t care.

Nimby! Will remember that. 😉 (or 😦 )
Or “SEP” = Someone elses Problem.
This comes from Douglas Adams “Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy”.
I actually read it in swedish: “NAP = någon annans problem”, and just translates it back to english now.
But I use this expression once in a while – ironically! Not that I actually mean it!

Thank you for sharing this sad truth about our world. This is devastating. Maybe if more see this, action will be taken to stop such atrocities.

Yes I hope so, but sadly I doubt it.
