America…

To all my American family, friends and bloggers alike…

AMERICA

Where kilometers are 0.6 miles long;
Where there are pounds rather than stones or kgs;
Where hoods adorn cars, not youths.

.

.

AMERICA

Where trunks are full of shopping, and not for swimming;
Where to shift stick refers to driving, not Quidditch;
Where 100 degrees means a hot day, not some water.

.

.

AMERICA

Where 0 degrees means VERY VERY cold, not just water freezing;
Where guys have a fanny pack – a WHOLE different thing elsewhere;

.

… and …

.

Where one can’t walk up to a stranger and ask “Can I bum a fag?”

 ~ ~ ~ ~

America – a world unto its own 🙂

    Ah, but we do swim in trunks. I think it is a regional variation, but we had swim trunks when I was a kid 🙂

    Thanks, Uncle Spike. We like it here. But don’t forget, most of us are descended from immigrants so we have appreciation for other parts of the world as well!

    where motherwithoutpaws applauds your variety, we were once called a melting pot, and we are still melting. If you want to borrow a fag, they may protest, mostly in california, 😀 Well that is what momwithoutpaws says, me I say, it is the land of Paws and sticks
