1 Year ~ Our 1st Birthday !!

Uncle Spike’s Adventures is one year old !!
Yes, just about one year ago, I sat down to scribe my first ever blog post – that seems soooooo long ago! Over this week I have a few posts lined up to ‘celebrate’ the event; after all, I don’t celebrate or even mark my own birthday, haven’t done so for years, but this wee milestone is something different.

To celebrate any birthday, we need a cake, yes?
Well, as it happens we have a small cake and even a candle right here. Uncle Spike is very proud to have enlisted the skills of Sydelle, one of our youngest Spikey’s, a budding artist extraordinaire from Malaysia. Just look at what she created for us – we even have Captain Spikey as well as Uncle Spike in the picture!!
And I can even see Captain Spikey looking at a picture of himself on the laptop – extra cool 😀

Congratulations on your first birthday! I was surprised to find out that your blog is only one year old. I love to read the stories of your life in Turkey and especially the photo puzzles you did for a while. You have a great site with so much variety – not something everyone could do successfully. Here’s to the next year!
