On Our Driveway…

Saturday 14 June, 2014 by Uncle Spike

We made our driveway by simply running a JCB (backhoe) through the untamed orchard when first acquiring the land. The land is so rocky here in the foothills, that there has never been any need to add any rock-bed, ballast, tarmacadam or concrete; it’s naturally ‘solid’.

But of course, it does mean that our driveway, which is about 100 metres (325′) long often ‘grows’… 🙂 And that can include saplings of fig trees, poppies, flowers, you name it…

And I spotted this one today 😀

Mostly finished now, the driveway also plays host to a few families of wild poppy.

Great driveway! Love how it is flanked by plants and flowers 🙂
You have such pretty things popping out of your driveway compared to the mess on mine. That striped yellow flower is certainly unusual 🙂
