The Last Storm
16Thursday 29 May, 2014 by Uncle Spike
Summer has arrived!
Not quite proper summer temps yet, just hovering around the 31-33 mark, or 90F. But give it another few weeks, and that will be our night time numbers 🙂
As usual, 10th May was yet again the watershed (literally), with that magical date heralding the final storm of the season of ‘non-summer’ as I tend to refer to autumn/winter/spring.
So with these images, I bid farewell to clouds…. see you in late September 🙂

Still cooler here, but summer is creeping up, too. Lovely farewell photos. Stay cool.

Heating up here too in the desert of Arizona. 80 at night and 90’s soon! I love that last photo of the blue sky and clouds. Neat shots!

Thanks Nancy. We don’t quite get your temps, but warm enough.

Was a downpour here as well! I’m looking forward to seeing days of eternal sunshine. Will probably be moaning about it too.

I’m still reeling at the 31-33C temperatures AT NIGHT!! Holy Sweaty Armpits!!! I consider that a very hot summer DAY. Yikes.

That’s daytime at the moment…. but sure, in summer we go up to 45C days and yeah, occasionally nights are well over 30 still. Sleep on the open terrace under the stars !!

Heating up…I can’t imagine heat like that. We get hot here, but not 90* at night.

You’re gonna miss them when they’re gone! Istanbul is hotting up too – nowhere near your temps, but today it felt like someone had lightly smothered the city in damp cotton wool… eurgh!
