Little Monsters

Tuesday 20 May, 2014 by Uncle Spike

We’ve had some cool and rainy days recently, quite unexpected for this time of year, but excellent news for the veggies and the fruit trees. The main orchard is normally dry and dusty by now, but waiting for the rains to finish up before second ploughing and clearing the weeds etc in preparation for summer.

So when it’s a tad cool, the local friendlies take every advantage of a bit of sun, and the side of the veg area depot warms up one’s cold blood a treat!

Have you seen the orples? They seem to have escaped … again! 🙂

I looked elsewhere, but couldn’t comment there. 🙂

In Greece is a sign of big joy for the house/family members and a great luck!

  3. Got some here too when the weather turns warmer. I like to observe them but keep them out of my home the best I can. Nice shots you took since they are so quick.

Oh my. I’m terrified just looking at those little monsters! When I lived in Hawaii we had geckos in our house and we weren’t supposed to kill them because it was bad luck.

  5. You have the real thing. We have to buy outdoor wall ornaments like that in the garden centre in the UK.

I’m in awe of your ability to manage all the workload associated with a farm. I’m having enough trouble with my small corner of the world!

...waiting to hear from you...
