Weekly Photo Challenge: Monument (II)

Saturday 12 April, 2014 by Uncle Spike

This week’s second entry from me for the Weekly Photo Challenge was taken in the grounds of Christ Church, Stone Town, on the spice island of Zanzibar. This is the monument to the slaves

A desperately sad and moving place, but I hope you enjoy this entry.

The first entry for this week can be found here: WPC ‘Monument’ (I)

    wow, that’s a powerful sculpture! Very sad…

  3. Such evil in this world, but thank heavens for the courage and goodness of those who’ve fought to free slaves, often putting their own lives at risk.

very sad indeed that humans can do this to each other and their pets are not always treated well
