Weird And Wonderful Jobs
11Wednesday 05 February, 2014 by Uncle Spike
I have had many many jobs over the years. I’m not going to bore you with a list, but just as told on my ‘about me‘ page; it’s a curious mix…
”…from gardener to unsuccessful insurance salesman; from warehouseman to mainframe computer programmer; from shepherd to chauffeur; from househubby/parent to IT manager. As you sit there reading this, I’m having a bash at fruit farming in Turkey, blogging and somehow I’ve also become a proof-reader for academic articles…“
But this post isn’t about me… nope, it’s about an article I was sent from good old Uncle Baldrick – our New Year’s visitor you may recall who came laden with 35kg of goodies!

Oh goodness! I once did a doggy massage course, but maybe a Doga trainer would have been better! Failing that, the Lego Sculptor sounds like so much fun!

Which one would you choose Uncle Spike? Or would you find another equally weird one? I quite like the idea of training monkeys, it would be ace! Assuming that monkeys aren’t too difficult to deal with – I’ve only met wild ones once!

Interesting. It would be a tough choice, for me – Lego sculptor or monkey trainer? Given my history, I would do one for a little while, then the other! Thanks!

My jobs: kennel maid, factory assembly line worker, paye clerk, artist’s model, medical secretary, publicity/sales for a geeky gadget, learning disabilities nurse, psychiatric nurse, church cantor, junior choir leader, and writer. I’ll stick with the last, with plenty of interesting experience to draw upon. As you can imagine, my writing is quite strange!
