Hey Spike. It’s been another ugly week in the big bad world. Needed to offer you my hand in a virtual handshake. Here’s hoping 2015 might see a new approach to the big old messes that people insist on making! As-salamu alaykum!

Aleyküm selam Liz.
Yes, yet another bunch of brainless terrorists, for they are nothing more, chose to use their warped view of religion as a veil to hind behind as they dish out their mindless violence and destruction. They disgust me, as they do to any Muslim who has read the Koran. Will it ever be resolved, nope… humanity has been nuts ever since time began 😦

Humanity will always disappoint. Meanwhile other people may show resilliance.

Aphrodisias is a place that I would like to visit. How far is it from Bodrum?

The quickest route is east to Milas and Yatağan, then north to Aydin, then east to Nazilli… It’s some 250km and should take 3 hours by car – mostly dual carriageway.
A more interesting route is to continue on the D330 after Yatağan across to Bozdoğan to get to Nazilli. It’s slightly shorter, but might take 3.5 hours. But it’s a pretty route (just not good in winter with snow).
Not easy by public transport… buses would need changes in Yatağan and Nazilli I would guess. So for a single day trip, hire car would be best.
