I was just upstairs the other evening, making sure windows and curtains were closed as the day drew to a close, and as I briefly looked out, I was reminded of the simple beauty of our expressive skies.

I ran downstairs and grabbed my camera…

These shots were fired off very quickly, as the night draws in quickly here and I knew the moment would soon pass.

No clear blue skies. But to be honest, when you see that every day for much of the year, the clouds are beautiful too.

All were taken within the space of 3 minutes from our top floor sun terrace , from where we star gaze on hot summer nights and (now) take photos for the Spikey’s during winter 🙂
