Bizarre Bamboo Beach

This was a strange old sight…. not far from here, we came across a beach literally strewn with bamboo poles.

Some were quite thick, like 2-4cm (1″-1.5″) and anything up to 4m (13′) long.

I guess some boat lost it’s cargo during one of our winter storms.

Still, it made for some awesome light-sabre battle practise 🙂

  1. It ‘s indeed amazing to see what the ocean carries who knows for how long. In Maine, where I am often in the summer, we find the largest wood pieces that my kids and others use to build huts. Thanks for the photos, as always so gorgeous.
