Weekly Photo Challenge: Joy (IV)
7Monday 30 December, 2013 by Uncle Spike
Clan Spike’s fourth (and final) entry for this week’s Weekly Photo Challenge is of one of life’s joyous characters. This guy was a tourist guide around the spice plantations on the island of Zanzibar. He was one of the naturally funniest folk I ever met. Whilst this photograph cannot capture that, I will attempt to share his joke…
“Did you know that the Banana plant is really good for your eyesight?”
(no we feebly replied)
“Well yes. Watch!”
(he then turned away for just under a minute, busily working away at something – then turned back to face us…)
“I can see bloody well now – look!”
(he had just fashioned these pair of glasses from a banana leaf!!!)
.
Hope you enjoy this entry.
