Macro Monday: “Prickly Hedge”

My posting for Macro Monday.

Took this while our for a walk in the village, maybe 200m (600′) from home. This stuff grows wild and in large bushes. Often it is cut and piled up as hedges as animals wont go near it. It’s very prickly and each leaf is just 5mm wide (3/16ths”).

Whilst we don’t do Christmas, I did think of this one for you guys out there who do… after all, it’s a bit like minuscule Holly 🙂

Below the macro image is a shot showing the actual bush (right), and the hedge usage (left) – just to put all in into perspective.

Hope you all like it !
