Happy Turkey Day; From Turkey

Wednesday 27 November, 2013 by Uncle Spike

Today, your Uncle Spike; well, the whole of Clan Spike actually, want to wish all those in the good old “US of A” a very happy and safe Thanksgiving for 2013.

.

I have spent a fair amount of time in the states over the years; from a year in North Carolina as an elementary school kid in the early 70’s, to prolonged stays with family in the late 80’s as well as numerous travel adventures.

Clan Spike has a few relatives there too. Come to think of it, I have 4 or 5 lots of family, cousins mainly, all scattered around and about, from Massachusetts and New Hampshire, down to Georgia and across to California. I also have friends in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New York.

And now of course I have this blog, and that has ‘followers’ from all over, with a fair bunch of you guys scattered across the US. Certainly I can say this; this blog gets more page hits from the States than any other country on the planet – currently that stands at around 42% of all hits!

So all in all, Uncle Spike feels fairly ‘connected’ to America, and so it is only good and proper that Uncle Spike wishes everyone a big fat:

Happy Turkey Day… from Turkey!!
