It might be November and officially winter, but that didn’t stop Clan Spike from venturing for a quick dip in the Mediterranean this weekend. The rather clement weather continues unabated… it’s been 23-25 (73-77 F) and very bright and sunny recently, so we abandoned ship (or house rather) and went for a swim. Not before time either; having had varying members of family here as visitors continually here the past 2 and a bit months, some basic good old ‘family time’ was very much on the overdue menu.
Left behind was the Turkish homework for Cousin Spike Jnr, mid-semester exam preparation for Aunty Spike, while Uncle Spike was rather joyful at escaping some rather heavy proof-reading of a psychotherapy and psychiatric nature. Believe me, none of us took much persuasion!
It was very calm, relatively warm at 24 degrees (75 F) and the water wasn’t bad at all; certainly no cooler than the sea temperatures in the northern Aegean in mid-summer.
And so there you have it, Uncle Spike and his funny looking toes went to the seaside 😀
