For my entry to the Weekly Photo Challenge: Habit, I have selected a few images that sum up my most habitual of daily routines – that of tending to my chooks.
Irrespective of whatever else I have on, whether that be olive or fruit picking, to welding a garage roof structure; or from proofreading a post-grad thesis, to blog post writing, or perhaps spreading a tonne of goat poo around 150 fruit trees, to felling a tall fir tree for firewood… Yep, no matter what I’ve got on and no matter what the weather, my chooks need feeding, locking away from the foxes at night and generally being looked after, day in day out, all year round..

Please note that the shot captioned “Waiting by the back door for dad” may look strange, but it was taken through the fly-net, but was an irresistible moment 🙂
