Weekly Photo Challenge: The Hue of You

For the Weekly Photo Challenge: The Hue of You, my entry is taken from my last visit to family in the States back in 2005. Often a lover of dull ‘boy’ colours over the years, every now and then a colour really ‘does something’ for Uncle Spike.
The dark shade of orange of my cousins bike was very powerful, almost as powerful as the 2,000cc V-Twin Big Dog itself 🙂
Newly widowed at the time as I was, this colour really cheered me up no end, almost pushing me forwards emotionally at the time. It was a real ‘dont mess with me’ sort of colour. It made me smile for the first time in a long while, first from the colour, second from the rip of the extra loud pipes, and thirdly from the incredible pull you felt as the bike accelerated away, whilst at the same time, trying to remove my arms from their shoulder sockets!
If those 3 combinations hadn’t put a smile back on my face, I dunno what could’ve – just what I needed at the time I guess 😀
