Calmer skies returned this afternoon.

We have a working phone line, electricity and internet.

My efforts at road repairs were sufficient enough to get our car out, and our friend back to the airport on time.

No sign of any water in the taps though… so the full dishwasher was unpacked and handwashed – thankfully we have the large bore artesian well. Although not so easy for domestic use as it pumps up 10 tonnes an hour from an underground river 121 metres (393 ft) under the farm.

All quite exciting though, after the monotony of summer – don’t get me wrong, I love it, but no clouds and hot every single day for 5 months means all this cloud and rain stuff is a big event here 😀
