Mini Sheldon: More Evidence

Hmm.. this morning we came across more evidence that our five year old son is metamorphosing into Sheldon, albeit a smaller version of 116cm.

To say the excitement is building for next week, the start of the school year, would be an understatement in this household. The kid is oh so ready, and guess what, so am I… it’s been a looooong summer school holiday (3 months). The fact that he has been attending full time kindergarten and pre-school since the age of two and a half doesn’t seem to enter into the equation. But no, this will be proper school, uniform and all.

And so to this morning. The time was 8:15 on the last Wednesday of his jollies. He wakes up, does his business upstairs, and trots down to the ground floor where dad (me) is in the office working hard proof-reading a thesis (and a bit of blogging, but don’t tell), and mum is in the salon/lounge writing an article.

Small Sheldon walks in, and sits next to his mum. And his first words of the day…?

“What is the date today mum?”

“”Why?”

“Coz it’s important!”

“Well, lets see, it’s the 4th today, the 4th of September”

“Cool, so how many days until the 19th of September?”

< a calculation was made between Small Sheldon, his mum, and a few fingers >

“15 days son”, said mum

“Ok, but that’s still a long time 😦 “

“Long till what?”

“Angry Birds Star Wars II 🙂 “

It would seem that Small Sheldon is fully aware of all software launch dates now too, perhaps not business related ones, but certainly those of significant importance in the world of nerds.
