Currently exploring a few of the Greek Dodecanese islands, and seem to be accumulating more blog story fodder along the way. Watch this space… but in the meantime, thought I’d ask: Anyone out there been to Kalymnos, Astypalea or Leros?

Yes, I have been to Astypalea many times and to Kalymnos a few. Beautiful, aren’t they?

Definitely. They were new to me as most of my Greek Island days were in the Cyclades – quite different altogether. I have to write up posts on these two… at some point.
My favourite of the Cyclades was always Folegandros island (https://unclespikes.wordpress.com/2013/09/03/the-island-an-update/)
Indecently, have you been to Leros? That was different again we thought. See posts https://unclespikes.wordpress.com/2013/09/10/picanto-capers-part-two/

This year I was mainly on Astypalea and Ikaria. And hopping along the way on Patmos, Samos and Kalymnos. The last three definitely merit another longer visit. Ikaria was fine, but I didn’t fall in love and probably won’t go again.
I am quite envious that you live in Turkey.
I wish there was a postcard of the Nissos Kalymnos Ferry.
